Client and product profitability (PMS)


 

By analysing your company portfolio with respect to the operating results (EBIT) for each product-market segment, thus going far beyond the existing logic of profit margins. We will set up an individual profitability calculation or profit and loss statement respectively for each one of these product-market segments. It is exactly such a combination of process-based market, cost and performance logic that provides a comprehensive view of the individual segment profitabilities. The biggest challenge in this process is to find the correct allocation of the so-called fixed costs as well as the costs of value creation according to the respective causes. Only once the actual client and product profitabilities have been calculated on an order level if necessary, can the market opportunities of individual products or product segments be assessed in terms of their competitiveness and their future market and growth potential. In all modesty: we don’t know anyone who could do that better than us.
