The professor emeritus of experimental physics has been grappling with precisely these boundary questions for decades. He combines insights from quantum physics with philosophical reflections and develops a radical thesis: alongside matter, there exists an immaterial plane—an information field—that makes our reality possible in the first place. His perspective breaks with classical models of thought and shows why neither purely materialistic nor religious explanations are sufficient. In conversation with Georgiy Michailov, they also discuss the limits of scientific knowledge, the role of AI as a tool rather than a threat, and the question of life in the universe.
